North Dakota State Requirements for CNAs

State approved programs in North Dakota offer a minimum of 75 hours of instruction, of which there are 16 hours of clinical on-site classes. Class content may include: patient care, patient rights and privacy, room protocol, feeding patients, vital signs, and ambulating patients. There are several institutions and organizations across the state of North Dakota that offer CNA classes and certification programs. The cost of CNA programs can range from $250 to $400. Unlike most other states in the U.S., aspiring CNAs do not need to complete a minimum amount of classes prior to taking the exam. Candidates may take it with no prior classwork or knowledge.

North Dakota CNA Exam Details

The NNAP consists of two sections. There is a written section of the exam, which comprises of 72 questions. There is also an oral option which can be taken in lieu of the written examination. Additionally, there is a clinical skills part that includes the proper demonstration of 5 skills.
