Becoming a CNA in Delaware
To work as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Delaware, you must take required training via a training program that’s been approved by the Delaware CNA Registry. Applicants must also pass a competency examination within 24 months of completing the program. Once you’ve passed the examination, you will be placed on the CNA registry. Nursing assistants who are not featured on the CNA registry (in good standing) cannot work in intermediate care facilities. Prometric is responsible for administering the exam and managing the CNA Registry for The Delaware Division of Long-Term Care Residents Protection (DLTCR).
