Becoming a Certified Nurse Aide in Oklahoma
To earn a listing on the Oklahoma CNA registry, individuals who wish to work as CNAs will need to complete a state-approved CNA program for CNAs prior to taking the competency exam. Candidates who have completed a state-approved CNA program have three attempts to take the exam within 2 years of the completion date of the program. Testing consists of a clinical skills test and a written/oral test. Candidates must obtain minimum passing rates for both tests in order to pass the competency exam. Retraining is required for eligibility to test again. Test scores will be sent to the registry and successful candidates will have their names added to the registry.
