- Visit the Virginia Nurse Aide Registry website’s license lookup page.
- In the License Verification section enter the CNA license number in the “License Number” field. Alternatively, search using the last four digits of a social security number as well as the individual’s last name.
- Click the Search button.
- Refer to the “Expire Date” and “Additional Public Information” fields, or click on the name for additional information about the license status.

How to lookup a Virginia CNA license number
You can find your CNA license number on your CNA certificate, which is awarded to you after you have completed your CNA program and passed the state licensing exam. The license number will be listed on the certificate along with your name and the date that your certification expires.
